Facilities Design and Construction Management
Crystal has proven capability in communications infrastructure associated with facilities design and construction management. Modern office buildings and mission critical facilities require an integration of information technology (IT) into the building during the design, construction or renovation to ensure the best security, performance and cost effective operations. Crystal understands both the technology and the construction trades and applies a knowledge-based process to insure the cost effective and efficient integration and deployment of modern technologies during construction, renovation or system upgrades.
Crystal offers the following facilities design and construction management services:
- A chronological planning process that emphasizes space and support systems, communications pathways, media, hardware and software. Crystal engineers ensure that systems not only meet applicable requirements, but also facilitate the upgrade and transition to new technologies well into the future.
- Construction management for IT facilities including operations centers, network operations centers, help desks, data centers, equipment rooms and telecommunications closets. Our processes assure smooth integration between the construction and IT trades, saving time and money. Crystal maintains relationships with architectural design and leading edge specialty engineering firms for the design of facilities that support mission critical equipment.
- Develops design and construction management plans and ensures that contractors' quality control plans are developed and followed in accordance with these guidance plans. Our design and construction management plans detail the role, responsibilities, processes and procedures for project managers and quality assurance representatives. They include instructions on inspections and testing requirements to ensure a final product that can be approved, accredited, and certified by the US Government. Our plans are developed specifically to align with applicable local laws, regulations, and US Government directives. Our onsite RCDD analyzes and stamps test plans and results prior to submission for approval and use.
